Congratulations to Sophie Legard of Malton Relish on winning the North East Local Food Hero 2009 in the Market Kitchen national competition. Three businesses from each of Britain's ten regions competed for the title of Local Food Hero 2009. The regional winner from the North East was announced last week. The final prize giving and overall winner will be announced on 11 December.
Sophie owns the deli Malton Relish in the North Yorkshire town of Malton. Situated in the market place they sell great local food and Sophie’s cooking.
